Let’s do a Happy Dance right now. Stand up and just dance.

If you did a quick Happy Dance, you are feeling great and more excited about reading on.

Back in 1965, Hal David wrote a song, “What the world needs now is love sweet love.” I’m sure you remember it because it was on the top of the charts and went viral.

Negativity blocks the love that we all want and desire. Fortunately, Happy Dances have a way of busting through that negativity and bringing out the best in us.

As Vicki Baum said, “There are shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them.”

Another great side effect of dancing, or The Happy Dance, is when done with family, it builds bonds of trust and love.

In my book, Parenting – Creating The Happy Dance, Chapter One, I talk about using a Happy Dance to bond with your children.

My idea goes like this: Moms and Dads, imagine a dance of pure joy, a dance that reflects the most profound happiness in your hearts and the hearts of your children. This dance is not choreographed on a stage or practiced in a studio.

It is, in fact, a dance of life itself – the “Happy Dance of Parenting.”

What better way to create and spread love than through family?

What if you created a Happy Dance to do with your children when they succeed or accomplish something they’re proud of? When we become parents, we step into a world where every day holds the potential for a symphony of laughter, a canvas painted with love, and a dance that expresses the most profound emotions.

As parents, we are entrusted with the incredible task of nurturing and guiding the next generation. It’s a role that asks us to tap into our deepest reservoirs of patience, compassion, and understanding.

And when we do, when we truly embrace the art of parenting, it’s like hitting play on the most beautiful song in the universe.

Think about that moment when your child takes their first step, the twinkle in their eye when they discover something new, or how their laughter fills your home with warmth. That, my friends, is the joy of parenting, and these moments need to be celebrated with a “Happy Dance.”

When we truly embrace the art of parenting, it’s like hitting play on the most beautiful song in the universe.
